The KōArt / Unconventional Place gallery is pleased to present the personal exhibition of a very young artist of Polish origin, Marta Ciołkowska, which marks a new stage in the desire to research and enhance contemporary art in a curious territory that is always open to new challenges such as the Catania one. The Let’s take it offline exhibition revolves around the concept of communication and the excessive use of social media that deform and transform people’s minds and attitudes.
Facebook becomes the 'cube’ at the foot that blocks every movement and desire for emancipation; the mobile phone takes on the identity of a prosthesis, a natural extension of a hand; the transparent sphere becomes that invisible barrier that surrounds those who immerse themselves with their mobile phone in daily virtual interaction, and so on… Each installation offers a starting point for reflection on the many aspects of a society where the barriers are not only more physical but also mental and digital. The visitor is therefore called to interact with the works and to reflect.
