SHORT BIOGRAPHY
Marta Ciolkowska (b.1993) visual artist from Poland, based between Catania and Łódź.
She deals with video, installation, sculpture and graphics, exploring the themes of human’s impact on the environment and the influence that rampant technology has on modern man and everything that surrounds him.
Marta graduated from Interior Design at the Strzeminski Academy of Fine Arts in Łódź, Poland (2017), studied also at Academy of Fine Arts in Catania, Italy. In recent years she has participated in various national and international exhibitions and festivals. Her works were shown at: Museum of Contemporary Art MACRO, Rome, Italy, Institute of Art & Culture, Barcellona, Spain among others.
She has been a resident at the PLAN8T Artist / Architect In Residence (P8AIR), Changsha, Hunan, China, Cittadellarte Fondazione Pistoletto, UNIDEE Residency Programs, Biella, Italy, KARP Residency, Kamina – Lome, Togo, Tiliade Asso, Oasis-les-âges, France and Guido Gobino, Turin, Italy.
She has been featured in numerous catalogs and included in publications of group and solo exhibitions, magazines and websites.
